Obscure Memories
'Obscure Memories' is a series that explores the human condition and the duality of memory between
layers of time, through the layering and embedding of oil painted lines, within overlapping layers of resin.
The series questions notions of uprising tension within memories, between overlapping distances, spaces
and emotions. Through the constant recollection and discarding of memories, details fade and vanish into
spaces of oblivion, leaving behind traces of wistful reminiscence. These cloudy layers of memories then
combine together, forming overlapping lines and colours, reflecting distance, space and time between
each erasure and lasting detail.

Silent Companion
"Silent Companion" is a series of oil paintings that explore protection and isolation, through the corners
and edges of interior and exterior spaces. The term, 'Silent Companion', refers to the different scenes,
animals and objects that appear in isolation. The various silent companions seen within each composition
act as a representation of personal loneliness and the search for companionship within isolation. The
series discuss the relationships between silence and stillness, tension and spaces, silence within tension
and melancholy within reflection. The compositions explore also, notions of classical still life juxtaposed
with modern framing.
